Tormenta con Granizo en Guadalajara, México
La noche del pasado 30 de junio de 2019, en la ciudad de Guadalajara, estado de Jalisco, en México, ha caído una tormenta acompañada de granizo, afectando principalmente a la colonia Panorámica de Huentitán.
De acuerdo con El Pais (elpais.com), las afectaciones incluyen acumulaciones de hielo de hasta metro y medio y daños a 249 viviendas. Ya en horas de la mañana del lunes 1 de julio, los bomberos de Guadalajara y personal de Protección Civil de Jalisco trabajaron en limpiar las toneladas de granizo y en la evaluación de los daños.
Se conoce que aunque las granizadas son usuales en esta temporada del año, no se tiene registro de una tan fuerte como la de este domingo.
Los Ayuntamientos de Guadalajara y Tlaquepaque informaron que cerca de 200 casas y negocios fueron afectados y al menos 50 vehículos fueron arrastrados por la corriente de agua que se formó.
De acuerdo con www.milenio.com, esta granizada no se debe al cambio climático. Explican que es en la época de calor cuando las condiciones son más favorables para las granizadas, ya que el aire muy cálido y húmedo asciende violentamente (inestabilidad atmosférica) y el vapor de agua se convierte en diminutas gotas para formar nubes de desarrollo vertical (cumulonimbos).
Al paso de minutos, estas gotas aumentan considerablemente su tamaño y alcanzan diferentes alturas en donde la temperatura es inferior a los 0 grados centígrados, congelándose dentro de la nube, donde se manifiestan fuertes corrientes que obligan al granizo a ascender y descender. https://www.milenio.com/estados/por-que-ocurrio-la-granizada-en-guadalajara
De acuerdo con la BBC, no se reportaron heridos ni pérdidas humanas, aunque las autoridades aún evalúan los daños materiales.
